AIEDx Grants

Helping promising ideas in AI and education move from research into working applications.

AIEDx is a grant initiative of the Institute of AI in Education (IAIED), Singapore (UEN 53487769M). Contact us to discuss your project, the support you need and the terms of a potential award.

01 / The opportunity

Support for work with an educational purpose.

AIEDx supports the development and sharing of work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and education. Critsly provides an example: IAIED supported its development, and Nizam Kadir has also publicly acknowledged IAIED’s support for his AIED 2026 conference attendance.

Research into practice

Discuss support for research, prototypes and educational applications with a clear learning or teaching purpose.

Development & dissemination

Explain the development resources, research activities or presentation costs you would like IAIED to consider.

Award-specific support

The scope, amount, eligible costs and duration of any award are confirmed individually in writing.

For current availability, eligibility, funding limits and any application deadline, email IAIED. This page does not announce a fixed funding round or guarantee an award.

How to apply

Send an initial enquiry to aiedx@mylearnomics.com with the subject AIEDx grant enquiry — [project title]. Use the outline below to help us understand your work; confirm any formal application requirements with IAIED.

  1. Introduce yourself and your project

Include your name, affiliation or team, contact details, project title and a short summary.

  2. Explain the educational need

Describe who the project serves, the problem it addresses, how AI contributes and the evidence or evaluation you plan.

  3. Describe the support requested

Outline the activities, proposed budget, timeline, milestones and expected outputs. Disclose other funding relevant to the same work.

  4. Share relevant materials

Link to a proposal, prototype, demonstration or prior work where available. Begin with a non-confidential summary; ask before sharing sensitive research or participant information.

  5. Confirm the award terms

If IAIED offers support, agree the scope, permitted expenditure, deliverables, reporting and acknowledgement wording in writing before relying on the award.

03 / For grant recipients

Recognise the support. Document the work.

Recipients must acknowledge AIEDx and IAIED in all outputs arising from the supported work. This includes presentations, posters, manuscripts, preprints, journal and conference publications, technical reports, demonstrations, project websites and other public materials.

Use the award as agreed

Follow the written award terms for the project scope, approved costs, milestones and reporting. Confirm material changes with IAIED and retain the records required by your award.

Communicate accurately

Describe the support received accurately and acknowledge other funders separately. An award does not by itself establish peer review, ethics approval, institutional affiliation or endorsement of every claim.

Acknowledgement wording

Use your award’s prescribed wording where provided. Otherwise, the following examples identify the grant and the registered funder clearly.

04 / Supported work

From support to a working platform: Critsly.

Critsly is an AI critique workspace for design education and project-based learning. Its About page acknowledges support from the AIEDx grant awarded by IAIED (UEN 53487769M).

In his 15 October 2026 LinkedIn announcement, Nizam Kadir described IAIED’s support for Critsly’s development and his AIED 2026 conference attendance. This example illustrates support received by one project; future awards depend on their own written terms.
